Marshmallows are just one of those treats that are great in any form. They are delicious straight out of the bag, ooey and gooey from a fire, and also in cookie form. When you bake these marshmallow flowers, they become a perfect cookie-like texture.

Finding vegan marshmallows

How amazing is it that we exist in a time where vegan marshmallows exist? I always use Dandies and usually can find them at my local health food store. Just be sure to get the regular size ones and not the mini – those would be a pain in the butt to cut.

Things you need

  • Marshmallows
  • Scissors
  • Banking tray
  • Parchment paper
  • A little cup of water

Technique

  • Cup of water – keeping this beside your work setup with help. The marshmallows are quite sticky so I like to dip the scissors in the water to make it easier to work with.
  • Cut – using the scissors, make 4 cuts across the width of the marshmallow
  • Pull the pieces apart to make petals

Bake

Preheat oven to 250℉ for 45-60 minutes, or just until slightly brown. They will continue to harden as they cool.

How to Use Your Baked Marshmallow Flowers

I mean, the possibilities are endless. While it is possible to simply snack on them (my partner really likes to do this), these little flowers are so pretty they can help elevate every dessert or treat you make!

Personally, I have used mine in a Toasted Marshmallow Matcha Latte recipe and OH MY GOSH. This latte had toasted marshmallow syrup, and marshmallow fluff as a whipped cream replacement, and then was topped with one of these adorable marshmallow flowers.

These flowers would also look so cute as a topper on little cupcakes or other sweet treats that need a little something special!
