Ingredients

Non-Dairy Strawberry Milk

  • 7-8 fresh strawberries rinsed and tops removed
  • 400 ml non-dairy milk of choice
  • 1-2 tbsp sweetener such as non-dairy creamer, maple syrup, agave, or vanilla syrup

Matcha Layer

  • 1- 2 tsp ceremonial-grade matcha powder
  • 1/4 cup hot water, not boiling
  • 1 cup non-dairy milk of choice

Instructions

  • Make strawberry non-dairy milk. Add a handful of strawberries to a blender with 400ml of non-dairy milk along with a sweetener of choice. Blend until smooth.
  • Make ice-cubes. Pour have the strawberry milk into silicone molds (I used hearts and xox silicone molds) and freeze for at least 20 minutes.
  • Make matcha. Add matcha powder to a bowl and pour in hot water, whisking to remove any clumps. You can also use a mesh sieve to ensure there are no clumps. Add plain non-dairy milk and set aside.
  • Froth. Use a frothing machine or handheld frother to thicken the remaining non-dairy strawberry milk.
  • Combine. Add strawberry milk ice cubes to a glass. Pour matcha mixture in, followed by the frothed strawberry milk.
  • Optional. Add some extra ice cubes on top for an extra cute for a visually appealing drink.
